Tanya Burr Lipgloss Review/First Impressions

Well I bet you were all wondering how long it would take me to review these babies, I literally received these glosses today so this isn’t going to be a full review more of a first impressions post really. If you’d like a full review in the future do express your interest in the comments below. Firstly I want to say how amazing has Tanya Burr done, truly an inspiration and a genuine lovely person, her success couldn’t have happened to anyone better.
I have been waiting for these glosses to come out for so long and a little while back Tanya posted a photo on Twitter explaining she was on an exciting photoshoot but she couldn’t tell us what it was about, she later confirmed that the makeup artist whom done her makeup that day was the first to have a play around with her new lip glosses. Ever since I saw that photo and how amazing her lips looked I knew I had to get my hands on her her glosses, now which one was she wearing I wondered. I had a look through the collection and decided it must have been Picnic In The Park so into the basket it went along with two other shades. There are 12 cream and shimmer lip glosses to choose from, I opted for Picnic in the park, Just Peachy and Afternoon Tea. All of the names were picked personally by Tanya which is such a lovely touch and you can really tell a lot of thought, hard work and effort has gone into the production of these glosses.
As mentioned Picnic In The Park was my first choice, this shade is a bubblegum barbie pink and it’s definitely my favourite of the bunch. The texture of these glosses are super creamy, pigmented and non sticky hooray! I love that even though they are so pigmented you can still wear them sheer with a smaller amount applied, the applicator is something I’ve not seen before and I love it, it really hugs the lips whilst applying the gloss and gets the right amount applied in one stroke. You can layer these glosses to make them uber pigmented but you will risk it looking a little patchy as I have noticed with the paler colours especially Just Peachy. Just Peachy is probably my least favourite just because it is a little too pale for me although when worn sheer it does look very pretty, I just can’t layer it too much. Afternoon Tea is a gorgeous pinky nude and is another favourite of mine, it’s just the perfect everyday shade and I have to mention all of these glosses smell divine! They have a sweet smell and when I opened them up I was like mmmmmmmm! I wouldn’t say the scent is too strong but if your not a fan of scented lip products then that’s something to bare in mind.
Overall these glosses are pretty fab and for just £6.99 you can’t go wrong, I definitely want to try more of the shimmer shades so I think I’m going to keep my eyes peeled for some blog reviews before I make any more purchases. I love seeing how a gloss looks on before purchasing and to be honest the swatch colours on the website are a lot darker than what the shades are in real life. I think it would be great if Tanya could get some photos out of how the gloss looks like on her as it would be so much easier to choose although I do want them all now, and I definitely want to try the nail polishes too!
Did you give into temptation and buy some of Tanyas products? What are your thoughts so far?
