First of all please excuse what I look like in these images it was the end of the day, I had just put Vinny to bed and didn’t fancy doing my make-up properly, plus my eyebrows were in desperate need of a groom. Lazy Mumma. On to why we are all here and that’s to read a review of the Bourjois CC cream, I had mentioned this in last months Favourites video and I thought it was about time I wrote a review for you all. I’ve been using this for about six weeks now, maybe more and it has become one of my go-to ‘no make-up’ make-up products.
On a day to day basis when I’m home I like to wear something quite light on my skin and I rarely wear much more after I’ve sorted my complexion out. For the purpose of this review I have only used the CC cream in the before/after picture but once I’ve applied that I usually like to pop on some concealer if needed and bronzer/powder. If you are unsure what a CC cream is like I was it is a colour correcting cream which has three colour correcting pigments which are apricot; helps anti fatigue, green; takes away redness and white for anti white spots. The pigment that stands out most for me is the green, I can instantly see that the redness disappears and my skin looks more even.
When I first purchased this product I was expecting it to be quite a sheer light cover but I’d say it’s probably more of a light/medium coverage and a really fresh dewy finish which is perfect for the warmer seasons, it doesn’t look or feel heavy on the skin and it’s an oil free formula so although you get a nice dewy finish your not left looking greasy. The one downside to this product is the minimal shade selection, there are only four shades to choose from, luckily for me light beige goes perfect on my skin and I really like that it is more of a yellow tone rather than a pink, that’s why Bourjois are one of my favourite high street foundation brands because they always have yellow toned shades which is just what I need.
Overall a really nice CC cream, I’d definitely give it a try if you were on the look out for a new one or were new to the CC world.
