Stokke Sleepi | Review

Today we are talking cots, not just any old cot the one the only Stokke Sleepi. Stokke is one of my absolute favourite brands, the quality is amazing and the unique design is eye catching and chic. When I was pregnant with Vinny we had originally bought a pine effect cot, we have been happy with it but now we have moved house as mentioned all of our furniture is turning white so I was very excited to get the opportunity to review the Stokke Sleepi to begin the transition in Vinnys room from pine to white.

The Stokke Sleepi is a very unique and versatile piece of furniture, as you can see in the photo above it looks quite small but this is actually the Sleepi Mini which is a mini cot perfect for your newborn baby. I don’t know about your little ones but Vinny grew out of his moses basket from a very young age so this would have been perfect when he was small to put in at night. The Sleepi Mini can be converted to a larger cot, in fact this is four beds in one as you can see in the above picture. To convert the Sleepi you need to buy conversion kits but which may seem a little annoying to do but this cot will last until your child is 10 which is amazing. The bed starts off a mini and ends up a junior bed.

The unique oval shape creates a nest for your baby, the cot is slightly narrower than our original making it perfect if you haven’t got much room in your house and I think it looks nice too not looking bulky or ugly. The cot has lockable wheels on it making it easy to manoeuvre between rooms, I didn’t think I’d like this function as much as I do I actually think it’s a great idea, the cot goes through doors so easily too. You can rock baby to sleep if you need to or help settle at night if he wakes, the wheels continue on when you convert to the larger Sleepi but are removed when converted to a bed. This is something I’ve never seen before but is such a great aspect of the cot.

Here we have the Sleepi converted into the larger cot for ages 0-18 months, I absolutely adore it and Vinny does too. The height of the mattress is adjustable and the cot itself was very easy to put together, our previous cot was rather complicated to put together even though the design looked more simple but this one was fabulous and my husband was really impressed with the way it was made and the ease of assembling.

The Sleepi comes in three different colours and is made from durable solid beach wood, the way that this piece of furniture has been crafted is truly amazing and I have no complaints whatsoever. As you can imagine for this unique cot you need unique bedding I will be writing about the bedding in a separate post for you to show off each and every detail.
