It’s time for another stroller review, one seriously has some sort of addiction. I think most mothers do because it’s something we have to push around all the time and I think it’s super important to have one that’s just right. For Vinnys age a fold down umbrella type pushchair is essential and this is the first we have tried, Joie is a brand I hadn’t really heard of before but I have to say this pushchair is very sturdy and has been a pleasure to use.
The Brisk is much lighter than all of my previous travel systems and a dream to fold down I have to say the one-hand single-touch fold is so easy to use and it literally goes down so fast. There is also a catch that clicks together to make sure when your popping the pushchair in the car it’s not going to fall open on you whilst your carrying it, there is also a super handy carry handle which is ideal. Did I mention this pushchair is super light, it’s 8.6kg which might sound a little heavy but honestly it’s not. Once folded down it’s small enough to fit into the car and leave plenty of room for shopping bags, you could even get another pushchair in if you were on a trip out with friends it’s that small.
OK so we’ve spoken about how quick and easy it is to pop up and down, what about the all important comfort test? Well you’ll be glad to know this pram has a multi-position back rest which reclines all the way down so baby can pretty much lie down whilst napping, there is also a two position leg rest to grow with baby and add some extra comfort, I leave ours up because Vinny likes to rest his legs on it and cross them over, if you have a newborn then have no fear this can also be used with a 0+ car seat which is an absolutely amazing feature. The 5 point harness is my only negative about the stroller, I don’t hate it but if baby is feeling a little cranky it can be a little bit of a faff, apart from that the padded shoulder pads are super soft and comfy too.
Another important aspect is of course the shopping basket situation, the basket is super roomy, I’m used to a little more room with full on travel systems but if you need more room you can hang bags off of the two handles too, I’ve tried it and the pushchair is still easy to move around. I really love the fact that it’s quite narrow making it super easy to whizz around shops and even those little pretty shops we don’t get to enter that often.
I absolutely love the Joie Brisk Stroller, the teal colour is beautiful and so fresh for the Summer months. There are 8 beautiful colour combinations to choose from so if your wanting something bright and colourful or a little more neutral and muted then this stroller is for you. The perfect lightweight stroller that’s stylish and comfortable for baby.
Have you tried anything from Joie Baby before? I have been super impressed with the brand.
