Cosatto Giggle 3 in 1 Travel System RRP £430.00*

Hello everyone I hope your all having a fantastic week and your ready for another pushchair/travel system review. A little while back I was contacted by Cosatto asking if I wanted to review one of their new travel systems, we were gifted the Giggle 3 in 1 Travel system in the colour scheme Fable. Fable is exclusive to Mothercare and the design is very nice, when I saw it online I really loved the neutral colours and thought that it would look great all year round with it’s woodland theme. I have to admit having recently used pushchairs rather than travel systems I was a little worried about how I’d feel about going up in size and wondered how easy it would be to put up and down, wheel around and the weight of it but I have to say I have been very impressed.

The Giggle won a gold award for Travel Sytem under £500 in (2012/13) and I can totally see why, I often wonder to myself why I spent so much on our Bugaboo when I was pregnant with Vinny because the quality of the Giggle is as good and infact easier to use so lets break it down and I will tell you the pro’s and cons of going for a giggle and hopefully I can save you some money if you were looking to go for a more ‘expensive’ travel system.

Design

Firstly we have to touch upon the design and look of this travel system, Cosatto really know how to make a product stand out with it’s vibrant colours and unique designs. I always know when I see a cosatto product and I really love how Cosatto continually work on new designs and colour schemes. The Fable lollipop tree design is super cute and the earthy colour scheme is fantastic, perfect for boys and girls. I really love the four way reversible cosy toes, and the bright orange fleece is so warm for those winter month and so cosy for little one. Vinny does fit in it now however I think by the time winter reaches us it may be a little small so we might have to opt for a snowsuit or blankets. You also receive a matching changing bag when you purchase your Giggle which is an amazing touch, I’m all about matching items and the bag itself is roomy and looks fabulous hanging off the buggy.  I also have to mention the canopy which is really fab, I love how far over it comes because I find some canopies can be quite small not protecting little one from the sun although what I’d love to see Cosatto do is include a zip or a window so you can peer in and see little one that’s the only thing the canopy lacks.

Ease of use
This was something I was concerned about due to being so used to quick fold down umbrella pushchairs for most of the summer so going back to a travel system was something I was quite hesitant about but what differs with this travel system to our previous ones is that you can fold it straight down with the seat still attached. This is an absolute lifesaver and saves so much time, I can’t stress enough how easy it is to pop up and down and I now feel confident to take Vinny out knowing he is going to have the extra comfort from a bigger stroller and I have the ease of assembling also and it is super lightweight too which is ideal!

Comfort
The main reason I was happy to change back to a travel system was because of the extra comfort it provides when Vinny is sleeping in it. I always have the travel system and a pushchair in our car and both fit in fine, I always find myself reaching for the travel system when I know we are going to be out for a longer period of time or when I know Vinny is going to need a nap. The 5 point harness is easier to use than I thought, I haven’t had great experiences with 5 point harnesses in the past due to the faff it is when baby isn’t in the best mood although this one is super easy to pop on and the shoulder pads are so padded and soft it is so comfy for Vinny. I also love the height of this stroller and the duo-directional reclining comfort. I know Vinny is a big boy now and he should be facing forward but I love having the option to face him towards me when he is due a nap because he sleeps much better and I can see him at all times, he loves facing forward too so he can see the world and I adore how upright the seat can go so he can sit at tables with us if there aren’t any high chairs to hand and we need to feed him. We recently went away for a few nights and forgot our highchair so ended up using the giggle as a highchair too and it worked perfectly and the bumper bar also has a zip so you can remove it to wash which is ideal for messy toddlers.

Storage
For storage there is a rather large storage basket although not the biggest we’ve had, I think there could be some improvements made with the size of this as there seems to be room for a bigger basket however I’m not sure if that would effect the way the giggle collapsed when putting it back down. I assume that’s why the basket isn’t bigger but it is still a pretty good size, I can fit a large changing bag in it along with a couple of shopping bags so not too shabby.
Final Thoughts
Overall we have been highly impressed with the Cosatto Giggle 3 in 1 Travel system, the whole system has been made to high standards and the quality is amazing. The ease of use and steering is fantastic, I can steer one handed if I need to although around corners I’d need to use two hands just because Vinny is quite heavy. I have really enjoyed using it and with Vinny being 17 months we will continue to use it until he grows out of it which will be a little while away yet because there is still plenty of room for him to grow, the foot rest still has room for his feet and the seat is large enough to fit him in it with comfort and ease.
If you are looking for a travel system to suit your newborn and toddler then I’d highly recommend the Giggle 3 in 1 travel system, if your looking to get the car seat please note that Cosatto has now brought out an isofix base and hold base which is available separately. If your looking for a unique unisex design then I’d definitely check out the Fable exclusive to Mothercare and enjoy this fabulous travel system it really is special!Click here to view the Giggle on the Mothercare website
