Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette & Better Than Sex Mascara | Review

Hello lovelies, I hope your all having a wonderful weekend. I have some absolute beauts to show you today and it will be of no surprise to you to see these on Glambeautys. You all know I love an eyeshadow or twenty so here is the latest palette added to my collection and a mascara that promises to be better than sex. Oh la la! Too Faced is a brand I’ve only recently tried but I have to say I haven’t been disappointed, my first purchase was a lipstick which I bought in a blog sale. I got the shade Naked Dolly which I had been lusting after for quite some time so as soon as I saw it in that blog sale I snapped it up. I absolutely love the texture and colour of the lipstick so how happy was I when I got the chance to try these. I’ll tell you something, you need these in your life!
Can we just take a moment to look at these beautiful eyeshadow shades…. I seem to have a slight obsession with palettes at the moment especially eyeshadow palettes. My particular favourites seem to be the Urban Decay Naked palettes, I have all three and use them quite often due to all of the shades being so wearable and easy to use but I have to say my new love is the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette*. A huge statement but I think I prefer this palette over all three Naked Palettes, let me tell you why.
Firstly I absolutely adore the packaging, very cute and super slim and as soon as you open it up you smell chocolate so it instantly makes it a joy to use although I do find it quite hard to resist and have stop myself from eating it, it smells that good. This is a neutrals palette but where it differs to the Naked palettes is that is has some extra shades such as plums and pinks. I really love this and I think the purple/plum shades will look so beautiful in the Autumn/Winter months. This palette features 16 shades which have a mixture of finishes from matte to shimmer and Too Faced have been super smart here to add larger pans of the shades that we’d use the most for base and highlight colours, I really love that.
This is such a versatile palette and I have already created so many looks taking them from day to night by either using a light wash of colour or building up lots of beautiful shades to create a dramatic smokey eye. I have had many compliments when using this palette and my favourite shades are; Hazelnut, Amaretto and Creme Brûlée. Heck I love em all! The only shade I guess I won’t wear as much is strawberry bon bon, just because the shade doesn’t really suit my complexion but all of the other shades I will get so much use out of. They go on beautifully and blend out a dream, I find each shadow really easy to work with and they have a really soft buttery texture to them especially the metallic/shimmer shades. Super pigmented and no fall out at all, I have applied them with my fingers and with brushes and both give a really great result. Huge thumbs up from me!
Another new product I have been using is the Too Faced ‘Better than sex’ mascara*, apparently after just one application you’ll be begging for more… OK so I wasn’t begging but I have really enjoyed using it. The unique shaped wand makes sure each and every lash gets covered and gets to those hard to reach lashes right in the corners. The formula is super super black due to the unique peptides which really does make this mascara blacker than black and I love that. I find that I have been reaching for this on days where I just want to wear mascara but don’t want to look completely bare and with this I’m guaranteed to have full lashes that last all day.
Overall I am so impressed with these two products, the Chocolate Bar Palette is clearly my favourite and I can’t wait to create many more looks with it.
Are you lusting for any of these Too Faced beauts?
