I’m getting rather excited about having a second lounge/diner so today I thought I’d share with you a few thing’s I’d like to get as soon as it’s all done. Let’s talk theme, as you can probably tell I’m going very neutral as I want thing’s to look clean and fresh and to of course go with the kitchen. As this is going to be a our dining room/second lounge I won’t have a huge space to go crazy as we will have our table and chairs in there as well as other bits and bobs but I do want to make this a space Mark and I can come when Vinny gets older and has his friends round, I can imagine he will be hogging the main living room so this space is somewhere we can chill and step away from the madness so I want it to be quite tranquil and relaxing.
I want a grey sofa because I can add some colour with pillows and throws, I think grey is such a great neutral and it’s going to look great with all our white pieces of furniture I really love this one from Homebase
it’s just so clean and fresh. As mentioned we are going for white furniture as our kitchen is a white gloss so I want everything in the dining room/lounge to match and flow well, I’m obsessed with this sideboard from Wayfair it’s just what I have been looking for and it’s would look great with a nice flat screen TV above it!
A few other bits I have my eyes on is this fabulous white lamp, clean lines and super modern. I have to admit when we were thinking about the kitchen design I did find it quite hard to pin point a particular style I liked, I really love shabby chic but I really love modern too so we have gone more with the modern and I think this lamp would fit in quite well, I also adore this clock from The White Company. Mark and I actually spotted this in one of their stores last year before we knew the kitchen was being done and we always said once we have it done we’d get it, luckily it’s still available so I think we may have to get it pretty sharpish if we really want it.. which we do!
Have you redecorated lately? Did you find it hard to stick to a particular style or have you mixed all the styles you love to create the perfect space?
