It’s been a pretty expensive few months with the new kitchen being done and of course Vinnys birthday. I thought it would be a good idea to go on a little spending ban as I’d like to actually start saving a few pennies rather than spending them all, I spend way too much on makeup and after checking out my receipts from the last few months I knew it would be a good idea to go on a little makeup spending ban!
That being said I started my challenge last week and I’m proud to say I bought no makeup, to some this may seem like an odd thing to stop spending on but if your a beauty blogger or makeup addict you’ll feel my pain here. I worked out on average I spend a minimum of £10-15 a week on new makeup when limiting myself and that’s just high street spending, so in the last week alone I’ve saved myself around £30 as I usually make a cheeky online purchase or two also!
I’m going to see how long I can continue this little spending ban and pop all the money into an ISA
so I can save up for an even bigger treat… a little designer piece by my current favourite Louis Vuitton! I wonder how long I can keep this ban up I’ve been shopping my stash and finding so many makeup bits I haven’t even tried yet so I’m excited to get exploring and experimenting with products I already own.
If you’ve not been on a spending ban yet then come join the club and let me know how much you save next week, I’d love to know!
