What I’m Wearing // Autumn Edit

This season I’ve been mixing my makeup up a little opting for simple warmer tones on the eyes and lips, I really love Autumn makeup it gives you a chance to really experiment with darker colours without looking crazy although I’m not really one to wear really dark lipsticks these days so here is my version of Autumn makeup and what’s been working really well for me.
Let’s start with the base, I’ve really been enjoying the Too Faced Better this way foundation lately it’s a medium cover foundation which is quite buildable and lasts most of the day. I will say this foundation tends to separate a little on my skin towards the end of the day but I don’t really wear it if I need something uber long lasting for me it’s more of a special occasion base that really perfects the skin and applies really well.
To lightly contour I used the HD Brows Sculpt and Glow Palette this is a pretty new launch from HD Brows and I was really excited to try it after spotting it on their Instagram this Summer. This cream palette is fab for those that love to contour, the contour shade is pretty dark but as you can see it’s almost invisible when blended on the skin I just wanted this look to be pretty subtle so I added a minimal amount but for nights out you could really get to work and go out looking like Kim Kardashian! The highlight shade is a little sheerer with a really pretty pink pearlescent finish, it’s a great highlight and blush combo and would work beautifully on all skin tones I feel. To intensify the highlight further and really lock it in I used Anastasia Beverly Hills illuminator in the shade Starlight this is the lightest of the 4 new Anastasia highlighters and it’s my favourite, a gorgeous white gold highlighter that can really be built up for impact or worn subtly for a day glow.
Final step with the base was to add a little bit of colour to the cheeks, I used the W3LL People Universalist Multi-Stick which is a great cream colour that can be added to the cheeks, lips and even eyelids, on this occasion I just added it to the cheeks and lips. I then set with powder and to do this I used the Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten foundation powder in the shade light, this is a beautiful baked powder that gives a light veil of coverage and sets my base makeup perfectly without making it feel cakey and I just added this to the T-zone.
Base finally done it was time to move onto the eyes which I kept pretty simple, I used Laura Geller The Wearables 5 Eye Shadow Palette. This palette is made up of 5 beautiful shades that are super pigmented and perfect for Autumn, I used the burgundy and champagne shades on my eyes today and I love the outcome. I’ve been using this palette a lot and it even came away with me on a few recent trips because it was so travel friendly and easy to work with. Once the eyeshadow was done I added some liner using my favourite L’Oreal Super fine liner and then went in with my Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes Mascara, oh girls I have to tell you I adore this mascara. I’m not going to lie, when I first tried it I didn’t know what all the fuss was about and popped it back into my drawer of mascaras.. I must have ignored it for a good month before giving it a whirl again and now I’m in love. It makes your lashes full, defined and lengthens as well it’s a really great mascara. I also love the Charlotte Tilbury Rock N Kohl eye liner, I’ve used it in todays look in the shade Barbarella Brown this has been my go to liner for the waterline the colour is nice and soft for daytime but also great smudged under the eye for more of a dramatic look!
Lastly on the brows I used my Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow Pomade in the shade medium ash/medium brown which I thought may be little dark for me as I usually use blonde but it has worked really well and did a great job at making my browns look more defined and neat! Then to complete the whole look I opted for an Anastasia Beverly Hills gloss, I pretty much own them all now and this is one of the new AW shades so I thought I’d show you all. This is the shade Warm Bronze and as the name suggests it is a warm bronze, it’s perfect for those who are a little worried about wearing really dark lip shades like deep berries and reds. It’s the perfect Autumn shade I think, I really like it.
I hope you enjoyed this Autumn ‘What I’m wearing’ post I enjoyed putting it together for you! What is your go to lip colour this Autumn, can you pull off the darker lip?
