It’s time to talk 1st Trimester Essentials! I’m already in my 2nd Trimester now as I’m 17 weeks but here is what got me through my first Trimester, I can’t wait to share the rest of my essentials with you as we get to 2 and 3 as already in my second trimester I have switched things up and have even more essentials to share with you!
I’ve been on a bunch of tablets this pregnancy, I’ve had Pregnacare Conception tablets pre pregnancy then switched to Pregnacare Original which I plan to take throughout the rest of my pregnancy as these have all the vitamins needed for a healthy pregnancy including; Folic Acid, B12, Iron and more. I have also just started iron tablets, I’ve always been one to have quite low iron levels so I’m not too surprised but I hate taking the tablets as they really don’t make me feel great! Is anyone else on iron tablets for their pregnancy?
I’ve always been a fan of pregnancy apps, I used them whilst pregnant with Vinny and joined a March Mums group where I made many lovely online friends who I keep in touch with regularly and some of them are also on baby 2 or 3 now so it’s really nice to see how they are getting on and to see how their little ones are developing. It’s so funny to read back in the forum back to when I was pregnant with Vinny and read about all of my concerns and experiences, I wonder if it will be the same this time round. I am now in an April Mums group for baby #2, It’s always great to have some place you can go and chat if you’re ever concerned or just want to talk all things baby if you’ve already bored hubby to death like I often do! My favourite pregnancy apps are; Baby Bump and Ovia Pregnancy.
Slightly random one but if I didn’t have my cami tops in almost every colour I think everyone would have known a long time ago that I was pregnant. I started showing very early on with baby #2 and felt very uncomfortable so cami tops it was all the way! I remember when I was pregnant with Vinny I would wear fitted tops from the start but I just feel so huge right now so cami tops have been a god send, perfect for anyone with a mum tum or just trying to hide away that 1st trimester baby bloat!
So that’s pretty much it, it’s been a rather fuss free 1st Trimester which was exactly how it was when I was pregnant with Vinny. I didn’t however need my Gin Gins sweets this time round like I did with Vinny which would be great for those that are suffering with Nausea, I’ve been pretty lucky to not get too nauseous thankfully!
What were your 1st Trimester Essentials? Anything I need for Trimester 2 and 3?
