Every winter I find myself looking for a new coat and never get the one I really need, I usually go for something impractical and ill fitting but today is something very practical and it still currently zips up despite my growing bump! I’m a little sad that it may not last me all winter but I think I shall have to get plenty of chunky knits to wear beneath it and do a bit of layering! In todays post Mark and I are modelling a couple of amazing Helly Hansen coats we were kindly gifted, Mark is starting to become a bit of a regular on this blog lately but I really love the company!
Mark has mentioned to me many times now that he really needed a proper winter coat, he always would point these types of coats out to me when we were shopping and I did plan to buy him one similar for Christmas. This is the Norse Parka and it has all of the classic features of a parka and is built for the cold, we chose the Navy shade which I think looks really nice it is a really deep navy so almost black and has a black quilted interior. There are 5 other shades to choose from, we also really loved the red it would make a fab colour if you really wanted to make a statement as it really pops. This coat features so many pockets also which Mark is pretty impressed with, he literally has a pocket for everything; an inner chest pocket, hand warmer pockets and multiple exterior pockets!
We are super impressed with he quality of the Norse Parka, Mark has been wearing it at every possible occasion and it’s just such a smart coat, for reference Mark got this in a size Large and it fits perfectly. Helly Hansen create such great quality products and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another coat in the future for Mark, myself or Vinny as they also sell children coats which are adorable!
Onto my Helly Hansen coat, I went for the W Eira Jacket and with this being a jacket it sits slightly shorter on me than the coat would have been which I really like. I opted for a size Small in this jacket but feel I may have even got away with the X Small as I have quite small shoulders, I would say they are pretty true to size as I’d usually go for quite a small size in coats and jackets. This jacket is not only waterproof but it’s also sleek and super warm because of the Primaloft insulation so perfect for those that really feel the cold like I do! I’m so obsessed with the detachable faux fur hoods both of our coats have, and my coat also has an adjustable hood which I’ve only just discovered. I always find with faux fur hoods they always come down too far on my head and I can barely see where I’m going when I’m walking about but now I can adjust the back of the hood it makes it more secure and props the hood above my eyes so I can see! Finally! I’m so in love with this jacket and I’d highly recommend to those looking for something warm, stylish and snug this winter.
Now onto my maternity style, I definitely kept things pretty simple when I was pregnant with Vinny I would opt for leggings, skirts and tights which were all very comfy but I felt not very stylish now when I look back so this time round although I still want to be comfortable I still want to look ‘trendy’ dare I say it! I opted for this gorgeous Seraphine LOVE t-shirt and Seraphine indigo over the bump jeans which I have been living in since I got to about 15 weeks they have been a god send and the over the bump band is just so comfortable! Buy the LOVE T-shirt and all profits go directly to Tommy’s, helping them to save babies by preventing early miscarriage (share a selfie in your LOVE T-shirt and Seraphine will add an extra £1 to your donation) I can’t wait to share with you more maternity style posts as my bump grows, oh and don’t be fooled by the picture above as the loose fit top hides the enormous bump beneath it very well!
Final part of this look are my gorgeous Ugg Boots from Cloggs, these are the Classic Mini Double Zip Uggs in Black and I’m absolutely obsessed with them. I wanted something that was comfortable yet stylish and I think the black design and zips really adds to the beauty of the design. These are going to look so fab all winter with skinny jeans, skirts and tights with chunky knits ahh the list is endless! I love mini Uggs they come with the soft sheepskin lining for ultimate comfort and they also have leather waterproof uppers which is ideal so I can wear them in all weather conditions, so ideal and so chic! I have these in a size 6 which actually comes as a size 6.5 which is my idea size, I usually wear a size 7 in normal shoes and boots but I am a 6.5 really so they are perfect!
Have you got your winter coat at the ready or do you struggle like I used to when finding the perfect coat?
