How to de-stress after a busy festive period

Hello everyone, I hope you’ve all had a great Christmas and Boxing day we’ve had such a lovely time and the festivities still aren’t over with NYE still to come! Christmas is such a busy time for everyone, whether you’re working full time, are a mummy or if you’ve just been silly enough to leave everything until the last minute like me then you will probably be feeling a little exhausted right now so I have been uber prepared and come up with some tips to help you de-stress after the fun festivities are over and I hope that these will help you relax and feel a revitalised after Christmas and New Years.

For me a pamper session always makes me feel better if I’m feeling little stressed out, I have had many bubble baths after a busy day of Christmas shopping and after trying to shove myself through all of the busy food shop queues and let me tell you I always feel a million times better after that hour of me time. Grab your favourite pamper products, and find a routine that works for you. Pop some candles on and some relaxing music and you will feel like a new woman once you are done.

This may be a tough on if you are a blogger but I find if I unplug from all social media for the night or even just a few hours I feel so much more relaxed, Christmas time is such a busy time for us bloggers so by the time Christmas is here we all feel pretty tired right? So get some tweets scheduled and have some time off to chill with your family and do normal things that you enjoy doing like baking, watching your favourite movie or going for a nice wintry walk.

We’ve all heard of the January blues haven’t we? I get this pretty much every year, there is such a buzz and happy feeling on the lead up to Christmas and everyones mood is just so great but when January hits we are all a little down in the dumps and already looking forward to summer so why not book yourself a little break. You may not be able to go on a full two week holiday somewhere exotic so why not just book a day trip or a weekend away, this will give you something to look forward to and take your mind of that stress you’ve been experiencing.

Yes I said it, hydrate! I am the worst person to probably be telling you to get hydrated because my husband often calls me the cactus however start off the new year by getting yourself hydrated and fresh again. No doubt you’ve been drinking enough to quench anyones thirst but I can imagine it’s not been water, luckily for me being pregnant I haven’t had a drop of alcohol this winter so I’m feeling rather dandy however I could always do with drinking more water. It’s not only good for your skin, it’s also great for your mind, body and soul!
