Can you believe I have officially begun my third and final trimester. I can’t quite believe it myself and I know I say this every update but how quick has this pregnancy gone? It’s been a lovely couple of weeks and I’m so excited because things are starting to feel very real although I’m beginning to feel very unorganised with nothing arranged for the nursery yet, in fact the spare room which will turn into the nursery eventually is currently full to the brim with beauty bits and my stuff.. I need to get my butt in gear and sort everything out!
How far along? 28 weeks
Maternity clothes: Nothing new this week, however a couple of weeks ago I did get this gorgeous Seraphine Floral Nursing Dress which I’ve been wearing quite a lot because it’s super comfy and is so pretty. Understated yet chic which is just what you need when you feel like a whale right?
Sleep: Sleep hasn’t been great, I’m up about 3 or 4 times a night going for a wee which is annoying and it just takes me so long to get back to sleep at the moment. I tend to go through stages of over thinking sleep which may sound odd but when it’s on my mind it makes me even worse so I need to relax and hopefully the sleep will get better next week.
Miss anything? Not really, I’m looking forward to the future and all of the exciting times we have ahead of us.
Movement: Lots of movement, I have had a few days where I’m so busy I forget about the fact I’m pregnant and panic that I’ve not felt anything for a while but after one little prod he soon let’s me know he is there which is reassuring.
Food cravings: Curry… A Chicken Korma to be precise with a garlic Naan and poppadoms.. forget the rice I’m all about the sauce of the Korma and the dips!
Labour signs: Nope!
Symptoms: I do have moments where I’ve had the shakes but only for a moment and as soon as I’ve eaten something it goes away, I do have very low Iron levels which my midwife pointed out to me again this week so I need to start wearing some iron rich foods.
Belly button in or out? Belly button is in, I don’t think it will pop out but belly button ring out.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time? I’ve been pretty happy, I’m just enjoying life with the boys and spending our last few weeks as a family of three before the craziness begins.
Best moment this week: There have been many lovely moments in the past couple of weeks but I have to admit I had a proud mummy moment where Vinny tried some new food, If you know Vinny then you’ll know he is a very fussy toddler when it comes to food he likes what he likes and refuses to try anything new unless it’s chocolate so when we went shopping for baking supplies this week I also picked up an Annabel Karmel Alphabet Spaghetti Bolognese meal, baring in mind I’ve bought these many times before and he has refused every time this time he actually tried it and ate half the meal. I’m super proud of him and I’m going to continue to try with the new meals over the next few weeks and see how he gets on. When you have a fussy toddler it’s very easy to just stick to what they like for an easy life but he genuinely surprised me so onto new foods we go, woohoo!
Looking forward to: I’m looking forward to taking Vinny to the cinema on Saturday, it will be his first ever time. Our local cinema do a Saturday kids club so it should be a little more relaxed and there will be many other smaller children there, I can’t wait to see how Vinny reacts and I hope he enjoys it.
How are you all and what are you most looking forward to this week?
