Anastasia Beverly Hills SWEETS and MOONCHILD Glow Kit

moon child and sweets glow kit rainbow highlighters Do you wanna be a unicorn? Well you can be with the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kits! Girls these Glow Kits are something else featuring a collection of truly stunning shades. You are certainly going to be able to embrace your inner mermaid with these beautiful highlighting powders. These highlighting kits will be $40 each and will be sold exclusively at AnastasiaBeverlyHills.com which is a bit of a shame for my lovelies in the UK as buying ABH products from places like Cult Beauty and BeautyBay makes life a whole lot easier.

Anastasia has already launched a few quad glow kits but MOONCHILD is the first containing six shades. Six stunning shades by the way. These highlighters offer a metallic finish which you can blend together for a kaleidoscopic, shimmering effect. I’ve used a few of them together already and they all merge beautifully, creating a soft mermaid effect.

When I first swatched this kit I was amazed by the pigmentation, I’m talking serious pigment that is super fine which I love. What you can’t see in the images is how each different shade changes when it catches the light. Each pigment has a reflect in it which all work really well together. My favourite shade is Pink Heart, a Pearl white with a pink opal reflect. I think it’s the most wearable of the shades for everyday as lets face it this palette isn’t for the faint hearted.

There are quite a few blue shades in the palette, Blue Ice, Star and Blue Moon. I would have loved to have seen a coral shade with a peach reflect. I think that would look super pretty, but I don’t think this will be the end of these magical glow kits. I’m pretty sure they will bring more unique palettes out and I’m so excited to see more.

  • Blue Ice – Diamond white with an icy blue reflect
  • Star – A moonstone fusion of mint, platinum and silver reflect
  • Purple Horseshoe – A glittering lavender with an arctic blue reflect
  • Pink Heart – Pearl white with a pink opal reflect
  • Lucky Clover – A shamrock-infused gold with canary yellow diamond reflect
  • Blue Moon – Frozen blue with a silver reflect

I have them all and this is by far the prettiest of them all. I’m obsessed with the shades. This kit offers a selection of metallic powder highlighters which are super intense and create a glow like no other. I will say that these powders are slightly chunkier in regards to texture compared to MOONCHILD and you do get slightly more fall out because of that. Apart from that, I’m obsessed!

  • Marshmallow – Intense pear with gold reflect
  • Sassy Grape – Lavender with blue reflect
  • Taffy – A fusion of peach, pink, and gold reflect
  • Butterscotch – Caramel gold with white reflect

My favourite shade in this palette is Taffy. As mentioned I wanted a more peachy shade in the MOONCHILD palette which could still completely work as Taffy is a peach, pink with a gold reflect. I think if they brought something out in the style of the MOONCHILD shades it could be softer, finer and even more fabulous. That being said Taffy is an amazing shade, I’m so obsessed with it. The shade Marshmallow actually reminds me of MAC Vanilla Pigment which is something I was obsessed with when I just began my highlighter obsession. It’s really nice to have a shade like this in pan form, so gorge.

Overall I’m really impressed with these two palettes, if you are after something a little different and really want to up your highlighter game then I’d highly recommend these beauties. SWEETS for those of you that want to be a little more understated but still want your highlighter to pop with colour and MOONCHILD to let out your inner mermaid!

I can’t get over how pretty all the shades are! I don’t think I would be brave enough to wear the blue tones ones though – but the sweets palette looks perfect!

  • I saw the most amazing highlighting tutorial that a girl did all over her shoulders, neck, décolletage that looked like a rainbow reflection! It definitely makes me want the moonchild palette a lot now haha
