clarins clarins milky lotion clarnins tanning lotion It’s no secret, I like to tan. Unfortunately I don’t get time to tan naturally these days due to the lack of sun holidays. Lets face it we also don’t get much sun here in the UK. I self tan once a week and in between that I like to use a light or a gradual tanner to ensure my tan fades off nicely. I also use it to keep my tan nicely topped up. I have tried a few gradual tanners and most of them have ended up giving me a musky tan smell, which I’m not the biggest fan of. For the last few months though I’ve fallen in love with a new self tan and I just have to share it with you all.

A gradual tanner?

I’m a huge fan of Clarins products, from skincare to makeup and when this new Clarins Self Tanning Milky Lotion arrived I just knew it was going to be love. Clarins never disappoint. Now you may all notice in the title I called this a gradual tanner. For me it is as it’s quite a light tan once developed but for those that are paler this would be a great natural tan. I use this as a gradual tanner or when I’m just looking extra pale, within a few hours I already look naturally sun kissed and smell like a dream. I also apply this to my face which I don’t do with many tanners. This just gives my face a really healthy glow, which I love!

What's so different about this tan?

One of the main reasons I love this product is because the fragrance is delightful. It has a fresh and fruity scent which doesn’t turn into that dreaded biscuit smell. The formula is nice and creamy. It glides onto the skin beautifully and leaves your skin feeling super moisturised and nourished. I’d love to see it come in an even larger tube as I fear I’m going to run out soon because I love to use it so much. The colour is just perfect for me and I can just see it becoming a staple in my beauty routine. It’s already made such a great impression on me.

Have you tried a self tanning milk before? It's rather delightful!

  • This sounds gorgeous. I absolutely love the Clarins face tanner drops – the one you mix in with your own moisturiser. It gives the most natural glow and I’ve been tempted to try their body version too.

  • Sounds like a lovely product, I wish there were ones available for darker skin. I hate tan lines, but it seems there just isn’t much on the market for medium to dark skin gradual self tanners. Great post x

Ooooh this sounds wonderful! I’ve tried a couple of gradual tanners before but I have to agree with you, the smell is awful. Might have to pop into my local store and give it a whiff. I’m so pale at the moment so this would be fab! x
