L’Oreal Infallible Sexy Balms

l'oreal sexy balms Balms, Balms, Balms! I have been going crazy for anything with a balm texture lately whether it’s a cleanser, body balm, mask balm I have been obsessed. My latest obsession is lip balms. I’m not talking any old lip balm though, oh no I’m talking Sexy Balms by L’Oreal, these in a nutshell are tinted lip balms. Many seem to be put off by the name but don’t let that fool you these are definitely balms to buy. At a bargain price of just £4.99 each it would be rude not to right? These balms currently come in 8 shades and two different finishes, bold for an intense pop of colour and sheer for a pretty and effortless finish.

The formula of both the sheer and bold balms are very moisturising. L’Oreal wanted to create something that would last a very long time and keep your lips feeling subtle and soft for up to 12 hours. I have to say these definitely keep my lips feeling nice and soft for quite some time, I don’t feel the need to reapply any other lip balms in between which is something I’ve had to do with other similar products in the past. I also really like that the balms don’t feel sticky on the lips and they are very comfortable to wear.

OK so currently the 8 shades available are either pink, red or orange tones which are perfect for summer. I would love it if they could bring in some more muted brown and nude shades though because those are my usual everyday colours. The colours in the range are very pretty though and I think out of both formulas the sheer shades are my favourites just because I find them easier to wear on a daily basis. The bolds are fab for nights out though and when you really want to create a fab statement lip.

I’m going to say Sheer is my favourite, I’m all about simple wearable lip products (I’m wearing Sheer 109 Such A Babe in the top image of this post). The fact that these are so easy to apply makes it so easy to just pop in your bag and apply on the go. By popping the sheer shades into my bag I don’t have to worry about using a mirror when I’m out and about whereas with the bold shades I’d feel the need to use a mirror for precise application (I’m wearing bold shade 203 Yala Yolo in the image above). The bullet is fab though because it is pointed therefore it makes application much easier and more precise. So either way I’m happy, I’d definitely recommend giving these a try if you are a fan of the Clinique Chubby sticks. Very similar products and dare I say it even more pigmented!

Have you given these a try yet?
