Personal Style Coffee Date

coffee date style little mistress coat outfitquay australia coffee date

Family days out on a Saturday are pretty rare in the Summer, Mark ususally plays cricket and Vinny often visits his Granny. This Saturday Mark had off though so with the sun shining and all my boys together I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to get out and have some much-needed family time. I’m going to write a separate post about what we got up to but I just wanted to post an outfit of the day because I actually really liked what I was wearing for a change.

My personal style posts have been pretty non-existent since having Renzo. Mainly because I’m still not back to my pre pregnancy weight and I’m not feeling body confident at all. Everyone is very kind saying I look like I’ve bounced right back but that really isn’t the case so I’ve been playing tricks to hide the mum tum. I’ve also not been buying too many clothes because I plan on having a huge shopping spree once I’m down to my goal weight… I can’t wait to get my shop on!

Back to my outfit of the day. I finally managed to fit into some pre pregnancy jeans which are actually pretty old from New Look. They are a stretch denim hence the reason I managed to squeeze back into them but hey I’m not complaining it’s so nice to have another pair of jeans to wear. The shirt is new, I bought it in the New Look sale Saturday morning actually. Renzo and I popped to town for a morning shop, you may have seen on Snapchat (username Lizaprideaux). I didn’t find too many things I liked but I did grab a black Bardot top also, I’m loving the Bardot trend at the moment and anything with off the shoulder and shoulder cut out detailing I think it’s very chic.

The coat is also new, something very different for me and I love it. I really want to try to step out of my comfort zone this year. You all know I love wearing black all year round so this light coloured outfit is very different for me. This trench coat is something that’s going to become a part of my capsule wardrobe..  I do plan to have one soon and this is definitely one of the pieces I will be adding to it. It’s a classic trench coat but with some added detailing which I adore. The soft powder blue is just stunning along with the gorgeous cuff detail. A gorgeous piece that’s not only super comfortable but so, so soft!

That’s pretty much it when it comes to the outfit, I just need to step up my shoe game and I’ll be good to go. I just grabbed an old pair of tan sandals from the back of my wardrobe. You can’t really go wrong with black or tan shoes in my eyes and I think they did actually go pretty well with the outfit. Finally the sunglasses are Quay Australia, I’m obsessed with anything Quay right now and I have a huge list of even more sunglasses I need. I love how affordable they are and ASOS always have some great pairs in the sale. These were actually £12 in the sale, what a bargain.

What have you been upto this weekend?
