When you are a beauty blogger its very hard to have a proper skin care routine and stick to it. I do have my favourite products that I use the daily, but I do love trying new innovative products and seeing how they work for me.
A little break down on my skin type. I have combination skin, I often get dry areas on my nose and chin which also can get very oily too. That can be rather annoying and I’m yet to find a miracle product that works on my skin. The texture of my skin is pretty smooth although on my chin has a slightly rough texture and there are some bumps and dry raised patches due to the dryness and that dreaded monthly skin flare up.
OK on to a new product I’ve been trying out. This is actually a cult favourite that has been relaunched recently and that is the EFFACLAR DUO [+] by La Roche Posay. La Roche Posay have just launched the EFFACLAR DUO [+] UNIFIANT which is a dual-action anti-imperfection formula with sheer coverage. This product not only treats and reduces blemishes but this new addition is also enhanced with a mattifying 100% mineral pigment tint which instantly reduces redness and evens out the skin tone. I think this is such a genius idea, we all love the original product. It was created for those that suffer from spots, blackheads and oily skin so the fact that it now comes with that extra coverage to help hide those problems is great.
There are currently two universal shades to choose from; Fair/Light and Light/Medium. The shade I have is Light/Medium and it works really well for me it’s very neutral which I love, and it sheers out beautifully on the skin giving a light coverage. I use this either on its own for a no makeup look or as a perfecting primer when I’m after a more made up look.
I have really enjoyed using the new EFFACLAR DUO [+] UNIFIANT, it’s lightweight and if you are a fan of the original but craved the extra coverage then you need to give this a whirl. The formula works in just 24 hours to reduce blemishes and from just 4 weeks use pores are unclogged, skin texture is refined and shine and oily areas appear much more regulated… just what I needed right?!
