last summer moments We’ve been making the most end of summer these past few weeks. To be honest those last few weeks of the summer tend to be my favourite because the cricket season ends which means I’m no longer a cricket widow and we are able to do more on the weekends. We also usually book a mini break in September and if you follow me on social media you will know we’ve just got back from Butlins.

I actually managed to film a little whilst we were away, I can’t wait to put the clips together and create a montage. One of the things I really wanted to do this summer was create a video of one of our family trips and that’s exactly what I did. It’s so nice to look back on and when I watch videos back of when Vinny was smaller I can’t believe how much he has grown and changed.

makers & co makers & co I will tell you something else I managed to get in during these last summer moments, an alcoholic drink! My first in over a year would you believe. To be honest I’m not the biggest drinker, mainly because I don’t really like the taste. I’m also rather conscious of the amount of calories in most alcoholic drinks, especially whilst I’m still trying to get into my pre pregnancy jeans. That being said I have found a really fab drink that not only tastes amazing but is also low in calories hooray!

makers & co lim Let me introduce you to Makers & Co. The new duo I’ve been obsessed with are the infused wine cocktails which come in two delicious flavours – Cranberry, Rose Petal & Hibiscus and Lime, Mint & Hibiscus. I had never tried an infused wine cocktail until these and wow I’m obsessed, I’ve actually had to go buy a couple more bottles from Sainsbury’s because they are so lovely and actually rather refreshing. I particularly love to drink the Lime, Mint and Hibiscus. It goes amazingly well, chilled over ice with sliced lemon and lime which compliments it beautifully.

low calorie alcohol As I mentioned they are super low in calories, only 45 calories per 100ml which is just under 80 per 175ml serving, and just under 340 for the whole bottle, Hello! These are ideal for those who want to enjoy a good tipple but who are also health conscious like I should be… I promise the diet will start next week! They can be drunk on their own which I like to do on a Friday evening, or served with fresh fruit as a fun alternative to traditional pitcher cocktails which will be perfect for that last summer BBQ. We’ve been so lucky with the weather lately so I’m planning on one last hoorah before the sun completely disappears.

Makers & Co new infused wine cocktails are available for just £4.75 at a number of Sainsbury’s stores nationwide.
