New makeup and rose gold, a combination I adore. Models Own is a brand I’ve only recently been introduced to when it comes to makeup. I’ve used their polishes over the years but makeup only a few times however when this collection arrived I just knew I was going to love it. Don’t get me wrong, not all of the products are for me in terms of shades but toady I wanted to share with you some of the products that really stand out for me. This is more of an introduction to the collection, I’ve not had a chance to try each and every product out yet but I will feature them as and when and let you know my thoughts on them all.
GILT is the latest ultra luxe collection from Models Own, it features many of their hero products each with a golden twist and there is also a brand new 3-in-1 Eyes, Lips and Face palette which I’m most excited about. More on that later, lets see what’s in the collection.

The packaging is gorgeous, it’s very Luxe and Rose Gold is the main factor. Literally every product is Rose Gold which is rather fabulous and it’s my favourite packaging by Models Own so far. The lipsticks have a magnetic lid which is very cool, it’s not something you see a lot with drugstore brands so I really loved this and there are some really fab shades too.
The product that excites me the most has to be the new Eyes, Face and Lips palette. When I opened it I just oooh-ed and ahh-ed at the pretty shadow shades especially that gold, just look at it a metallic dream. I do think the price point for this palette is a little steep, it’s not usually a price I’d pay for a drugstore brand but you do get a few different uses from it as it isn’t just for the eyes.
I really like the shades in this palette, I think it’s perfect for Autumn. You get a couple of nice matte shades and two shimmer/metallic shades so you can really create some beautiful looks with this. With it being a palette for the Face and Lips you also get two lip shades which are very neutral, easy to wear and you also get a pretty peach blush which I’m all about. I can’t wait to create some looks with this.
I was also rather intrigued by the lipsticks, I’m not really wearing bright shades at the moment as you all know I currently have braces so I try to wear shades that don’t draw attention to my teeth right now but as soon as they are off I’m definitely going to be rocking these babies! There is one shade that is much softer though which is Secret Garden 03, this is a really nice shade and perfect for day time. I think it would have been nice to see more neutral lip shades in the collection as Rose Gold is very pretty and feminine but the lipsticks are all very vibrant and bold.
Overall I really like the collection, I can’t wait to try the products and see how they work for me. If there is anything particular you’d like to see a review on please to let me know in the comments and I will do that for you!
