I do love a bit of Netflix in the evening and recently we’ve been watching quite a few different programmes and series. I thought it was only right I share with you what we’ve been absolutely hooked on over the past few weeks, I know how frustrating it can be sometimes when searching for new things to watch so here is what we’ve been watching.

Whenever I’m searching for new series to watch I’m always looking for something that is going to be super gripping. I like to find programmes that are going to keep me guessing and The Killing definitely did that. This is a Netflix Original crime series and I have to say we were hooked from the very first episode. It’s about a conflicted homicide detective who wants to leave Seattle to start a new life but feels compelled to stay and solve the murder of a teenage girl. There are a lot of twists and turns in this and it will keep you guessing until the end, so good and the two main characters are amazing, it’s so nice to watch their relationship grow throughout the series despite their bumpy start.
Now this next series is not something I’d usually watch. It’s something I’d usually scroll past and not come back to but after so much hype on social media about Stranger Things I just had to give it a go. The night we decided to watch it we binge watched 4 episodes it was that good! This is another Netflix Original and it’s a mystery thriller, can you tell I like to watch rather dark programmes? Stranger Things is set in 1983 Indiana, where a young boy vanishes into thin air. Friends, family and local police search for answers, which leads them to an extraordinary mystery involving top-secret government experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one very strange little girl called Eleven. A really good watch!
Other things we’ve been watching: Louis Theroux, The Returned, and Sense8.

This is such a fab show for kids. Inspired by the songs of The Beatles, Beat Bugs tells uplifting and life-affirming stories filled with hope and melody. The animated show follows five cute little bug friends working out tricky situations with some truly fantastic songs to help them on their way. When I say fantastic songs I mean fantastic, you can’t beat The Beatles now can you?! I find myself singing along to each show every time!
One for all of the family, we often sit down and watch this together. Bee Movie is about a little bee called Barry, fresh out of college and about to enter the world of work which he finds rather uninspiring after being told that once he picks his job he will be doing it for the rest of his life! Barry decides to leave the hive for the first time and goes on an adventure like no other bee has been on before! Very fun watch and really hilarious too.
Other things the kids have been watching: Megamind, Hotel Transylvania, PAW Patrol and Madagascar.[df_divider_text title=”What have you been watching lately?” title_align=”separator_align_center” el_width=”100″ style=”solid” accent_color=”#EEEEEE” padding=”20px 0″ position=”align_center” el_class=”” border_t_width=”2px”]
