Getting ready for the festive season means lots of outfit buying, I mean we all need a special new Christmas day outfit and a new dress for each and every Christmas party right? A party with the girls, party with work, family, friends and so on. I was recently challenged by Nectar to buy a complete outfit ready for the festive season with a budget of £150, when I was told this budget I thought it may be quite difficult to find everything but it was actually easier than I thought.
Great style doesn’t have to cost a fortune and whilst shopping through Nectar you can also reward yourself when shopping by earning a bunch of rewards such as money off shopping, travel, days out and even cinema tickets. Basically every time you shop via Nectar.com you earn points which lead to the rewards, there are over 500 retailers to choose from including ASOS, Topshop, Next, River Island, Selfridges and many, many more.
I found the Nectar website and app really easy to use, I was actually so surprised by how many brands participate on the site and I got ordering at such a great time… Cyber weekend! Wow there were so many deals and offers, you could double your points, triple your points and even get bonus points too. Now if that isn’t an incentive to shop I don’t know what is. These offers are still on and there are so many more too which is fab, I managed to rack up almost 600 points which is amazing so go check out the site and see what you could earn!
I decided to go for a casual Christmas day outfit as I don’t think I will get to go to many gatherings over Christmas with Renzo still being pretty young. I thought by opting for a Christmas day outfit I could grab something super comfy with a timeless feel. I had to go for the classic TopShop Joni jeans, I do have these in a grey/black with a ripped knee detail but for Christmas day I thought it would be much smarter to go for a jet black pair and Oh my they are perfect. These jeans are so comfortable and have a good stretch ,leaving me with plenty of room for Christmas dinner. I then spotted this really cosy grey funnel neck knit and wow this is the softest and most flattering knit I’ve got all winter! Can you see a theme with the clothes I got here, stretchy and comfy! Just what you need on Christmas day.
To complete the outfit I grabbed some fab accessories, a chunky oversized scarf with a colour palette that just screams winter. I love soft beiges, greys and whites so this is perfect for me. You are probably thinking how is this outfit at all festive? Well I added the festive touch with this amazing Skinnydip faux fur pink bag… how fabulous?! I have quite the obsession for faux fur bags at the moment and this is just perfect for taking an outfit from day to-night, how gorgeous would this look with a simple LBD?!
Finally boots, these suede slouch boots are by ASOS Collection and they are gorgeous. They have a suede upper with a wrap-around strap and pin buckle fastening detail. I couldn’t be happier with them. Uber comfy, super stylish and rather gorgeous don’t you think?
Overall I found the Nectar website super easy to navigate and use, I managed to shop through the site and earn myself lots of points which I can later use on other things. Have you got a Nectar card? I’d love to hear your experiences with it.
