I love to save money. Dare I say it I’ve become a little stingy since having the children which is something I never thought I’d say. Don’t get me wrong they definitely don’t miss out on anything In fact they are probably a little spoilt but hey if you can’t spoil them now then when will you.
Since becoming a mum I have clearly become much more aware of offers, coupons and money-saving events. One of the events we’ve always taken advantage of is the Tesco Baby Event, this is an online and in store event that usually takes place around 3 times a year. We do our weekly shop in there, and it’s so easy for us to take advantage because there are so many great bargains including buy one get one free, half price and other great savings too.
This afternoon we popped to our local Tesco Superstore and took full advantage of the baby event stocking up on all of our essentials; nappies, baby wipes and bath time must haves. I remember taking full advantage of the baby event whilst pregnant too. You never realise how quick a pack of nappies disappear before having a baby. They can also be pretty expensive so stocking up whilst they are buy one get one free is the best option. It’s really nice when you know you can get that little bit more for your money too, don’t you think?
What I really found great was that the event wasn’t just about saving money, of course that’s why we all go but it was also nice to see all of the exciting things happening in store during the event. We got some friendly advice and also asked lot’s of questions about our weaning journey. Ella’s Kitchen were hosting a sampling demonstration and we were given a free Risotto flavoured pouch which Renzo wanted to eat there and then! He loves food and can spot it a mile off bless him. We were also given some #VeggieHack weaning recipes to try at home which I can’t wait to do.
We had two lovely members of staff approach us whilst we were shopping, both very friendly and super helpful. One of the ladies was telling me about the Johnson’s bedtime routine which is actually very similar to our routine which you may have seen recently on my YouTube channel where I discussed how we got the kids to sleep through the night. We were given advice on how to establish a bedtime routine and given some really great tips so if you are a new parent to be or struggling with your little one then this was a really nice touch at the event that I think would be very informative for you. We of course stocked up on our favourite Johnson’s products at the same time!
It was really nice to be able to attend another Tesco Baby Event, I will definitely be making the most of them in the future. It’s so great to be able to save so much money, stock up on all of our essentials and get some great advice at the same time.
What are your favourite baby buys to stock up on when doing the weekly shop? Do you bulk buy nappies and wipes like us too?
