Blonde Balayage

blonde balayage My quest to become a blondie again is complete. If you’ve followed me for a while you will know I used to have bleach blonde hair, then went darker, then lighter and so on. I have never been one to stick to one colour for a long time apart from when I was preparing for my wedding and at that stage I had bleach blonde hair. For a while I’ve longed to have uber blonde hair again but after looking back at photos and remembering how warm it used to be (or yellow) shall we say I did feel nervous about transitioning back to be really blonde again.

I know my hair has been blonde for a while now but it has been a gradual process to get it as bright as it is today. I wanted to ensure the condition of my hair was good throughout this process because as you can imagine bleach can really damage the hair after a while. I’ve been going to my salon Steven & Laurent for a few years now and each and every time I go they always get my hair how I want. I’ve filmed a few ‘Come to the salon with me’ style videos on my YouTube channel and today I wanted to share with you my latest one which you will be able to watch below.

At this appointment Selina, my hairdresser used a couple of techniques to blonde me up. She used foils to brighten up my roots with a high vol. of bleach, then did balayage on the rest of my hair using a lower percentage of bleach to be kinder to my already processed ends. I will explain it more in the video for you so make sure you watch that.

I honestly don’t think I would have been able to go this blonde again whilst keeping my hair in good condition if it wasn’t for Smartbond by L’Oréal Professional. This is a treatment I have done in the salon each time I have my hair coloured and it’s made such a difference.

SMARTBOND is a unique system that protects and strengthens the hair during technical services (such as bleach and haircolor). The system consists of 3 components, the first 2 being used in salon and the 3rd one at home. It is very easy to use and adapted to the hairdresser’s routine. (source)

I use step 3 at home every 3 shampoos and this helps to strengthen the fibre week after week. It really has transformed the way I colour my hair and the overall condition is great!

I hope you enjoy this video, please subscribe to my channel if you are not subscribed already it would mean a lot to me.
