tesco back to schoolI can’t quite believe that my little Vinny starts school in September. I’m pretty nervous about it to be honest because Vinny went to a different preschool to the one he is starting at. He has been to a few taster sessions and he seems very happy so I am excited for him to start but again nervous because towards the end of the year at preschool he got very reluctant and didn’t want to go anymore. I’m not sure if that was because of the house move and the big changes but it became quite difficult for me.

tescotesco school shoesTo get Vinny excited for his new venture we bought him some new school bits from Tesco at the weekend whilst doing our food shop. I can never resist a little mooch around the clothing section and of course I’m always picking up bits for the boys. The Tesco School Shop is all set up and ready so it was all very easy to find which was ideal. Food shopping + two children isn’t a breeze as you probably know so it was a bonus to have everything all in one place which meant I could get what I needed super fast and get on with the rest of the shop within a matter of minutes.

school uniformI started off with some uniform. Vinny does have a polo shirt with his school crest on however the receptionist did say I could buy some plain yellow ones too if I wanted to. Tesco do also have an embroidery service if you were wondering you can check if your school is included on the website. I thought I’d get both because he will probably ruin them very quickly and these were so cheap, just £2.50 for a pack of two. These polo shirts have been finished with Teflon EcoElite™, which is a carbon-free fabric protector designed to repel stains, and the polos have been made with As New technology to reduce bobbling and colour loss, keeping them looking new for longer. Ideal!

I also picked up a 2 pack of Stain Resistant Combat Shorts as it will probably still be quite warm when he starts school in September. I love these shorts because they have side pockets and also an adjustable waist, Vinny has quite a small waist and I always struggle to get shorts and trousers to fit him properly with him being rather tall for his age too.

To complete his look I grabbed him some black trainers, these look quite smart I think and are going to be super comfy for him. They have a velcro fastening which is ideal because he can’t tie his shoelaces quite yet.

stationary haulI wasn’t too sure on how much stationery he would need with it being his first year but I thought this Paw Patrol set was really cute. It includes all of the essentials such as; colouring pencils, a ruler, notepad, pencil case and more. This will be perfect for him, plus he absolutely loves Paw Patrol.

schoolVinny is absolutely delighted with his new school uniform, lunchbox and accessories. And I’m so happy with the quality of it all. I’m definitely going to pick up some more of those polo shirts the next time I go food shopping, I can’t believe they were just £2.50. What a bargain.
