It’s been a while since we spoke beauty on the blog. As in favourites, and products I’m loving. For a few months now, probably since the move I have been in a bit of a rut with makeup. I found myself using the same products, not really experimenting and just using up old makeup to kind of get through it all. I have so much makeup and a major declutter is about to happen but before that I wanted to talk about some key products that have been getting me through the past few months.
L’Oreal Lash Paradise Extatic Mascara || Available from Boots here.
Let’s talk lashes. I mean I’m usually pretty easy when it comes to mascara. My lashes aren’t the best anyway so I just apply anything and hope it helps them look a little better. However I think I’ve just been using the wrong mascaras for a while and maybe not being fussy has ruined my lash game. When I first received Lash Paradise I thought the packaging was fab, it has a Matte Rose gold tube and tropical vibe.
As soon as I tried it I thought it was good, it gave my lashes volume and length. I was happy, but then I kind of forgot about it and went back to those mascaras not giving my lashes life… no idea why. It’s been about 6 weeks now and I haven’t really used anything other than Lash Paradise and I’m loving it. It’s my go to mascara, makes my lashes look amazing. Thick, voluminous and long! I never thought my short curly lashes could look so good, I would highly recommend it. What I will say is that you should get a good eye makeup remover for this because it’s quite a tough one to get off. It reminds me a little of Benefit They’re Real it’s not as difficult to get off but you get the gist.
MAC Velvet Teddy || Available from Debenhams here.
It’s been in my favourites before and it’s here again guys. MAC Velvet Teddy is my all time favourite lipstick. I took it with me when we went to Majorca and I fell back in love with it all over again. It’s such a versatile lipstick. I wear this with Whirl liner for a more intense look or with a gloss over the top for a softer, pretty look. Honestly it’s a must have in anyones makeup collection.
Tanya Burr Selfie Sculpt || Available from Feel Unique here.
I actually reviewed this product last month for you guys so if you’d like to read that you can click here. Since that review I’ve been using it daily, such an easy product to use. It has a slightly waxy consistency which is really great when styling the brow as I have quite long brow hairs so the product keeps them nicely in place. The shade is actually perfect for me, in my review I did say that I thought I may need a lighter shade but after a month or so of using it I think this works really well for me. It’s really lovely and I adore the packaging and the spoolie.
Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream || Available from Cult Beauty here.
I bought this cream when we were in America a couple of months back because of all the hype around this product. Everyone raves about it and I wanted to see what the fuss was all about. This cream is meant to smooth and tone the skin, whilst also minimising cellulite. I can’t say it’s really done anything in terms of cellulite but what I will say is that I’m obsessed with it. First of all the scent is an absolute DREAM, I love to apply this after I’ve had a lovely bubble bath and pamper. It’s the perfect way to end my pamper session, I smell incredible afterwards and the scent lasts ages.
Something I didn’t know before buying this was that it gives the skin a subtle shimmer, and that is one of my favourite things about it. The shimmer is so delicate and soft yet under the light your skin twinkles and it’s so pretty! You need this cream, NOW!
I’d love to know what your current favourite product is and if you’ve tried any of these before.
