Garden Update // Dens & Seating

You may remember me saying a little while back that we were starting work on our garden, things as usual took a little longer than expected and the garden is about 40% done now. We have decided to leave the rest of the garden now and finish the rest next Spring as our Builder fell ill and we don’t want to hassle him whilst he is recovering, that being said we do now have grass and a fenced off area for Vinny which was the most important thing. I absolutely love having grass now and I have even started to make the garden a little prettier by adding some furniture and more toys for Vinny. I plan to paint all of the fences this Summer and add some extra plants and pots but apart form that we are done on the gardening front.
The main reason I wanted our garden done was so Vinny could have another area to play, the sun has been shining this week and we’ve spent a lot of time in the garden. Vinnys favourite new area has to be in his new Red Star Wigwam from The Great Little Trading Co.* which by the way is the cutest Wigwam I have ever seen! Vinny is absolutely obsessed with his new den and has been finding it hilarious hiding in it then shooting the water gun through the window to get me wet! The wigwam is great quality and can be used indoors or outside although I will say it’s pretty big so if you are planning to keep it inside then make sure you have enough space for it first, I love the red and white design the stars and stripes really stand out and it goes with Vinnys little tikes play house too!
I’m also glad to say I have a new seating area and no longer have to sit on the wall or steps, hoorah! I’ve been relaxing in my Furore Duo Love Seat from Wayfair * a lot this week it’s so comfortable in fact I’m sitting in it now whilst I write this blog post. We chose the brown metal finish as I thought it would go best in our garden, the contemporary design is just gorgeous and the cushioned seats are uber comfy. I also chose this design because of the middle table area, it’s big enough to pop drinks and snacks on then beneath it is a shelf for extra bits like magazines and books. Myself and Vinny love this new area of the garden and I particularly love taking a seat in the sunshine whilst reading my magazine and watching Vinny play, it’s absolute bliss.
What do you think of the new additions to our garden? Does your little one have a den area and do you have somewhere nice to relax too?
