Travel // Dublin with Cocoa Brown #CocoaBrownAW15

It’s been almost a week since my last post where I told you about a trip I had planned to Dublin for a Cocoa Brown event, well I got back yesterday and I thought I’d pop a little post up about my trip and the event itself. First of all I was so overwhelmed and honoured to be invited to the event and to be told that Marissa Carter the owner of Cocoa Brown really wanted to meet me, I was flown over to Dublin and got to stay in the most luxurious hotel, I felt like a princess and it was so magical.
This was my first ever night away from little Vinny but what an amazing experience and trip, the flight over was only an hour and to be honest it went super quick because I may have had a sneaky nap hey when your a mumma you nap at any opportunity you can! I was then greeted at the airport by Kate who is the PR & Marketing Executive for Cocoa Brown and a very important part of the small team they have, Kate had the cutest pink sign held up with my name on it just in case I missed her but of course I couldn’t miss those gorgeous red locks and pretty smile! Kate had booked us a table at a lovely restaurant where we had a spot of lunch and lots of chats, we both opted for a light grilled chicken salad which was delicious, we didn’t want to fill ourselves up too much as we knew we had a 3 course meal coming in the evening! It was so lovely and like we had known each other for years.
After lunch and a mini tour Kate took me to the hotel that the event was being held at in the evening which happened to be the same hotel I was staying in for the night,  The Shelbourne which is the most luxurious place I have ever been in! Gorgeous chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, amazing staff and incredible rooms I was completely gobsmacked and felt extremely lucky. I also had a manicure booked for 2.30 before I got to see my room and it was all an amazing experience, I was so eager to get to my room kick my shoes off and start getting ready for the meal. My room was absolutely wonderful, a huge king size bed just for little ol’ me and a bathroom to die for packed with lots of Elemis minis! It was heaven! The treats didn’t end there, a waiter came to my room and delivered champagne, chocolate covered strawberries and a platter of goodness I couldn’t believe my eyes and Kate had also packed me a little pamper pack because I was travelling with just hand luggage I was limited to what beauty bits I could take so she kindly made me a fabulous little package finished off with my favourite sweeties Percy Pigs and Cocoa Brown tan of course!

So enough about me talking about how amazing the hotel and trip was, let’s talk about the whole reason I was there! I was selected along with 20 of Irelands top beauty bloggers to be the first girls to see the new products to be launched by Cocoa Brown, I was the only UK blogger to attend and it was an absolute honour to be invited to such a special event. An hour before the event began I popped down to the bar to catch up with Kate and Stephanie and it was just so lovely to chat to these girls that I have been speaking to online for so long, I met so many inspiring and lovely beauty bloggers and it was so nice to chat to them. We all gathered at The Shelbourne for a sit down three course meal and it was seriously one of the best girly nights I’ve ever had, the food was amazing, we got to chat, snapchat, be ourselves and best of all share the evening with Marissa who by the way is the nicest and most genuine person I have ever, ever met. Marissa is a very inspiring lady, I was very lucky to be sat next to her at the meal and I could have listened to her for hours. Such a lovely woman that is so incredibly supportive to other women out there and so sweet, Marissa gave a little speech and told us all about the new products that are launching and my gosh guys they are fabulous and I think exactly what you have been waiting for. I can’t tell you about them until the 28th but it will be worth the wait I promise!
Overall I had an unforgettable experience, I got to meet some incredible ladies and I hope to see them all again in the future. Dublin was amazing and I had such a blast, take me back!
