Need coverage but don’t want to feel caked in makeup and feel weighed down? Then this new foundation from Stila may be for you, Stila Aqua Glow Foundation is a water-based serum formula that gives the skin a soft dewy finish with great coverage and a healthy glow. This unique foundation has multi-reflective pigments that help deflect the light which instantly reduces imperfections, blemishes and fine lines which is very clever and it really works!
There are currently 10 shades to choose from and when I first got this foundation I had the shade Medium Tan which was a tad too dark for me, with something so dewy and hydrating I thought a lighter shade would look better and much more natural so I now use the shade Light Medium and it’s the perfect colour match for me. The packaging itself is absolutely gorgeous, I adore the frosted glass bottle and the gold pipette type dispenser it’s very luxurious and actually very practical. It does dispense quite a lot of product with one squeeze of the tube but I’d say it’s the perfect amount to cover the whole face, what I like to do is apply this with my fingers for a smooth application and with one application I get a medium coverage. The foundation is said to be buildable to full coverage, It’s more of a medium coverage on me but I do like to just apply a little extra to the areas needed and this is always very easy to do and looks very natural still.

I love the formula of this foundation it’s quite runny and very easy to blend into the skin, it doesn’t accentuate my fine lines in any way and feels very hydrating and smooth on the skin. I think this is going to be perfect for the Summer months when I am after a soft glow and natural finish, I would say it may not be the best for those with oily skin as it is quite dewy and I find it’s best not set with any powder so if you are the kind of person that adds a layer of powder to set in place then it may not work so well for you. I pop a tiny dusting of powder onto the T-Zone and I find that is enough for me and I like to work with more cream products when wearing this such as cream blushes and cream bronzers, I like the way this adds to the soft dewy look I have when I wear this and it looks very pretty too.
Have you come across this foundation yet, is it something you’d like to try? There is also a fab new concealer available too called Stila Aqua Glow Serum Concealer, it’s a must have!
