35 Weeks Pregnancy Update

35 weeks pregnant

Hello my loves and welcome to my brand new blog! Glambeautys is no longer, after a lot of consideration I decided to switch to WordPress and also change my blog name. When I first started my blog I didn’t really think about the name properly, I just thought of something that would go with the sort of things I like… being glam and beauty but in the past 3 years my life has changed dramatically and I have a lot more to write about these days including lifestyle posts and home interiors. Every other platform I have is all under my name Liza Prideaux so I thought by changing my blog to this would be a great idea and I’m so happy with the outcome, it’s been a long time coming and has had a lot of planning but I’m so glad it’s all finally done and I can now start getting used to WordPress. I’m a creature of habit so the switch was very daunting for me but so far it’s all going well and everything seems to be ok so fingers crossed it continues and I really hope you love my new site.

How far along? 35 weeks (almost 36 weeks)

Maternity clothes: I’ve not been buying anything new recently but I was sent this gorgeous top by Isabella Oliver, it’s the Aubrey Print Summer Maternity top and I’ve worn it quite a lot recently, I really love pattern and colours perfect for spring and I think it’s definitely something I could still wear postpartum because the rouching around the tummy is super flattering.

Sleep: Sleep has been pretty amazing actually, we got a new mattress a couple of weeks ago called the Eve mattress and oh my gosh I’ve been sleeping like a baby! I was a little nervous about getting a new mattress because I’m all about my sleep but it was time we got a new one as Marks side had started to dip from his groove and it was generally quite a tired old mattress we’d had for quite a few years. The Eve mattress is a luxurious mattress that actually comes compressed in a box, when it arrived I couldn’t quite believe there was a mattress in it. Eve is made up of four different layers; a knitted fabric layer, a new-generation memory foam top layer, a high resilience comfort layer and finally a high density base layer it literally moulds with your body and my back pain during the night has reduced considerably since getting this mattress, I’m in love!

Miss anything? Miss my old body, I look back at pictures when I used to think I was fat and now just wish I could be back to that size again I know it won’t take me long but the extra weight and huge bump is starting to take it’s toll and is becoming rather uncomfortable now.

Movement: Lots of movement, my whole belly seems to change shape these days. Baby is head down and he keeps kicking me in the ribs so I’m hoping as the weeks go by and he starts to engage it will become a little more comfortable because at the moment when he kicks me in the ribs it really makes me flinch because it can be quite painful.

Food cravings: No new cravings, I’m all about naughtiness at the moment but I’ve only got a few weeks left so I’m going to enjoy it until baby boy arrives then I can get back on the healthy eating plan.

Gender: Boy!

Labour signs: Nope!

Symptoms: The past few weeks I have got so many different aches and pains down below, I get it mainly during and after walking and also if I’ve been sat down for a while and go to get up I feel rather stiff and achy. Also when I went for my growth scan at 34 weeks they said that baby was quite large already, well he has quite a large tummy measuring the same size as a 38 week baby so they checked my sugar levels over the weekend I had to use an at home diabetes kit to just test my blood but all is fine thankfully and it just so happens I have a big baby… they said he already weighs around 6.7lbs which is crazy to me as that’s almost the weight Vinny was when he came!

Belly button in or out? Belly button is in, I don’t think it will pop out but belly button ring out.

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or moody most of the time? I’m pretty happy although I have found myself getting overwhelmed with things really easily lately, wether that’s work stuff or just general home and life bits. I literally get very stressed out pretty quickly just because I always want things to be perfect or organised even though I’m neither of those, I’m hoping that I start to relax over the next few weeks now my blog is done, hospital bags are packed and I can start to get ready for baby.

Best moment this week: Seeing my new blog come to life, it’s been a long journey to get this design done and I’m so happy it is finally complete.

Looking forward to: Meeting baby boy, I hope he comes early… a couple of weeks would be nice!

How are you all and what are you most looking forward to this week?
