Perfect Spring Highlight and Blush Combo

I have been trying to mix up my makeup routine a little by shopping my current makeup stash and trying out new colours and products. For the past 6 months or so I’ve stuck to very similar products and shades including highlighters, lip products and eyeshadows. With the weather changing and the sun starting to shine I decided to change-up my current highlight colour which is usually champagne or a golden kind of shimmer and surprised myself with more of a pink toned highlighter and fell in love.

As you may know already, The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer is one of my all time favourite highlighters I choose it over most and I’ve kind of worn it to death despite having the other two highlighters in The Balms collection I haven’t really given them a real go until recently and I’ve really fallen in love with Cindy-Lou Manizer which is a pink toned highlighter, it’s super pretty and so perfect for spring time. I think what originally put me off was the fact that I thought it would suit more fair skin toned girls but I recently discovered it actually looks beautiful with a tan and that’s when I found this recent combination an absolute dream.

The combination I’m taking about is Cindy-Lou Manizer and Hot Mama shadow and blush all-in-one, oh girls this is the perfect little highlight and blush duo and they make such a great team! The shades to look at in the pan actually look very similar but when swatched on the skin you can see a difference in the two but a difference that really makes them compliment one another. You could easily use Cindy-Lou as a highlighter and blush in one but I just like to intensify the blush area with Hot Mama because they work so well together, Cindy-Lou is a pink toned highlighter with a slight golden shimmer to it and Hot Mama is a gorgeous pinky peach blush with golden shimmer that also runs through it so as you can imagine the two together just work perfectly and is such a great combo for those that don’t like to go crazy with the blush but would still like to add a little colour to their cheeks this Spring. I’d highly recommend these two products, not only are they beautiful alone and together but they also can be worn as eyeshadows too so you can get so much use out of them!

Have you recently discovered any highlighter and blush duos that work a dream together?
