Whenever I see rose gold packaging I instantly think this is something I need in my life, especially when it comes to makeup and makeup brushes. When I saw the Rosie Huntington-Whiteley makeup collection in collaboration with Marks and Spencers for Autograph I just knew I had to get my hands on it no matter what and to be honest I didn’t have extremely high hopes for the makeup, I thought it would be OK but not amazing but boy oh boy was I wrong! This collection is pretty huge and ranges from a number of lip products like lipsticks and lip glossys to base products including a fab looking radiance cream and even highlight and contour sticks! It really is a very versatile line and I truly believe there is something for everyone, I love how many products there are and the colour palettes are gorgeous and very Rosie!
I’m going to break it down and talk to you a little about each product I received and my overall thoughts on them all, I have been using them for a few weeks now and you can even see them in action in my Quick Mummy Makeup Routine video where I give you a little first impressions of a few of the products too. The first couple of products I was most excited to try were the highlight and contour sticks, these are like chubby sticks with twist up packaging so there is no need to sharpen. The contour stick is called Starstruck and I believe it only comes in one colour and I actually think it will work for most skin tones, it appears quite dark once applied straight to the skin but blends out so beautifully and quite sheer which I adore because this means I can wear it very subtly for a no makeup day or I can easily build it up without making it look streaky or patchy. It’s honestly the easiest contour product I have ever used and would be ideal for a contouring beginner, it’s also fab for contouring the nose and smaller areas because you can be rather precise with it and it’s just a fab product in general, I love the colour it’s very honey toned yet super natural on the skin.
Onto the Highlight stick, this is called Get The Glow and this is more of a pink pearlecent colour which is very pretty and not something I’d usually go for as I usually opt for more champagne or golden shades when it comes to highlighter. I was pleasantly surprised with how nice this looked on my skin and how easy it was to apply, again you just apply directly from the bullet and I just like to blend this out with my fingers very lightly for a soft and subtle glow. It’s very natural and when it catches the light it looks truly stunning, I’d say this is a very good highlighter for those that like to use more cream products and love to add a healthy glow to their skin I have been using this a lot lately and I adore how quick and easy it is to use.
Now onto the Eyeshadow Palette which by the way is included in my Hospital makeup bag, yes that’s right you heard correctly! I love it that much I’ve decided to take it with me when I’m in hospital having my little man, it’s the perfect size being a quad and it has all the colours I love. The palette I have is called Copper Gold Rush and it features a number of gorgeous shades including a pretty taupe, champagne gold, golden brown and a beautiful deep rose shade, I think I need the rest now as there are a total of four palettes in the Rosie collection. I love how the palette includes both pearl and matte finishes making it the ideal palette to create a whole look, I use the taupe shade a lot as a crease colour then add the deeper richer shades to intensify and create dimension. The shadows themselves are very nice quality, you do need to build them up more than some shadows I own however I find this quite nice as you can really build up the look to become something quite dramatic or use less for more of a sheer daytime look.
The last product I have is a lipstick which of course is pretty fabulous, just look at that colour it’s a gorgeous bright red and I can just see Rosie wearing this shade with her gorgeous pout and beautiful complexion, it’s called Super Model Kiss which is just so fabulous! This is definitely one of the brightest shades in the collection and it’s super hydrating too, the rest of the colours are a little more muted but still equally as rich and as pigmented. This is such a pigmented lipstick and lasting power is pretty impressive, even when I swatched this on my hand it took quite some effort to get it off which is pretty fab because when it comes to lipsticks most of the time they rub off with such ease and with a shade like this the last thing you want is for it to ware off quickly.
Overall I’m so impressed with this collection it is truly stunning and I can’t wait to go out and grab more, I also think it’s definitely worth mentioning that all of the products I’ve mentioned today are not tested on animals and BUAV approved which I think is massive and so fantastic!
Is there anything that has caught your eye in the Rosie For Autograph collection, apart from everything because the packing is so gorgeous!?
