Vinny you are now 3!

3 year old 3 year old vinny

I can’t quite believe little Vinny turned 3 on Monday, where have those years gone I now have a clever little boy with such a cheeky personality and gorgeous smile. I still remember so clearly the day we brought him home from the hospital and how tiny he was. It’s hard to believe that in around 5 weeks time I will be taking another little prince home in my arms and Vinny is going to become a big brother, I just know he is going to be the best big brother ever. Vinny is such a caring and kind little chap and I can’t wait to see the two boys grow together and become the best of friends.

For Vinnys birthday I had originally said I wanted to take him to London for the weekend and explore all of the touristy bits and take him to the Zoo. With me being so heavily pregnant I thought it was probably best to stay close to home mainly because I thought waddling around London may be quite a struggle and it would be a pretty full on weekend so instead we decided to take him back to the same place we went last year which was Crealy Adventure Park. Crealy is a fab place that’s only an hour away from home so we set off early in the morning on Saturday with a very excited little boy. It was so lovely to see how excited he was this year comparing it to last because he now really understands his birthday, in fact he had been going on about his birthday for weeks so for the day to finally arrive he was so ready to have some fun.

We had such a great day and explored the whole park, Vinny got to see the Meerkats and farm animals along with going on all the fair rides. Despite him having such a jam packed day he was still full of energy come the end, I don’t know how these kids do it. Mark and I were definitely ready for bed when we got home but instead we grabbed a takeaway treat and dug into some birthday cake with the gorgeous boy. I think as the years go on and the boys get older we may decide to throw them joint parties, baby boy number two is due in April so their birthdays will be quite close so it will be something for them both to look forward to. It’s so hard to find anywhere nice here in Devon though as party locations are pretty limited so I shall definitely be taking a look at Venuefinder when it comes to it because you literally just put in the location, type of venue and there are always great deals on there so that’s something to keep me organised next time round.

Do you have children with birthdays close to each other, have you ever thrown a joint party?
