It’s been a little while since I posted a ‘What’s on my face’ type post, so I thought I’d share with you some new products I’ve been trying out by Kiko Milano. This is my first time trying the brand and I have to say I’m pretty impressed with the products I’ve tried so far, the collection I’ve been trying out it called The Artist collection which as you can see is very bright and colourful. I really love the crisp white packaging with splashes of colour here and there, it really does sum up the collection which has been inspired by the world of Art.
I’ve always been quite a fan of Art and when I was at school it was one of my favourite subjects which is probably why I love applying makeup so much because I guess it is an art form, you can create so many looks from minimal to quite dramatic and bold depending on your mood and style. Todays look is quite a bold look for me, I’ve stepped out of my neutral comfort zone and added some colour to the eyes by using the new Artist Stroke Mineral Eyeshadow in the shade 05 Skill Blue. I very rarely wear colours on the eyes but I really love the way this turned out, with it being a loose shadow it is a little messier than some so I’d recommend applying before foundation which leads me onto the next product I’ve been trying. I’m wearing the Glacial Light Soft Sifter Foundation which comes in rather unusual packaging, I’d say the coverage is medium but you can easily build up on areas where you require a little more coverage without it looking cakey or heavy. I really love two tone blush also, I don’t usually wear blushers on a daily basis but the Blending Wave Multicolor blush is super pretty I used the shade 02 Ingenious Mauve which is right up my street with slight warm tones to it I applied it using the Artist Powder Face Brush which by the way is super gorgeous! It’s so nice to see some makeup brushes that aren’t just black for a change, I love the ombre bristles which are so soft and just glide onto the skin beautifully.
On the lips I opted for a lip liner, I started by just outlining the lips with the Fine Art Lip Pencil then decided to fill them in with the liner too because it was a nice consistency, not too hard or drying in fact it was very smooth to apply and pretty nourishing. I added the Colour Click Lipstick in the shade 05 Realistic Mauve over the top for an extra glossy look and even more colour and overall I love both the lipstick and liner, both of them have an incredible amount of pigmentation and look fab!
So far I’m super impressed with my first few products from Kiko Milano it’s such an affordable brand which I adore, have you tried the brand before? If so I’d love to hear your recommendations!
