The garden was the last area of our home that needed a little TLC, we’ve been putting it off for so long but this Summer I decided it was time to give it a little spruce and make it a place we all enjoy. With having a newborn and a toddler getting out the house can be a little difficult sometimes so it was time we gave the garden a little makeover so we had an extra area to go when we stay at home. When we bought this house the garden was not very child friendly so we’ve been working on that over the past couple of  years and I think we’ve finally managed a nice space for the kids to play so it was finally time to make it somewhere Mark and I could enjoy too. Mark and I don’t really enjoy gardening so we stripped it back and have kept it pretty simple with gravel and a patio area but as you can imagine that can look quite plain and simple so I recently picked up a few pieces from the Laura Ashley Garden collection and I think it’s really helped add some colour and life to the garden.

One of the things we did to really bring the garden together was paint the fences, we opted for a deep grey almost blue colour which I think really makes it look nice and modern. We picked a fabulous butterfly clock which is a great statement piece in the garden, it’s crafted from stainless steel and has a cream finish, I just adore it. Whilst browsing the site I also found this gorgeous hanging bird bath, I really wanted somewhere for the little birdies to come so this is perfect! Vinny really enjoys watching the birds and the birds seem to enjoy their little bath too.

Now when it comes to family BBQs this is something we haven’t been able to enjoy in the garden just yet, but when the sun is shining  it does get you in the mood for a nice BBQ. That being said we didn’t really want to invest in a huge BBQ as it’s not something we’d use often so I picked this fab retro-styled BBQ it’s nice and compact but still big enough to create some delicious meals on a summers evening. I’m in love with the Seaspray blue finish and it does a great job at adding that splash of colour our garden craves, we also got the matching BBQ tools to go with this which come in their very own carry bag. I love that these are so compact we could even take the BBQ and tools with us to the cricket one afternoon and enjoy lunch whilst we are out and really make an afternoon of it.

Finally the last little piece that is brining our garden together is the gorgeous fishermans tealight lantern, again in that stunning blue shade. It’s going to be perfect when we are just sat out in the garden in the evening, adding some warm light and a cosy vibe.

If you are looking to spruce up your garden this summer I’d highly recommend checking out the Garden section on the Laura Ashley site, there are some amazing offers on at the moment too with some great savings!
