ex1 foundation review

Hello my loves, how are you all doing? Foundation is one of my favourite makeup products, it makes such a huge difference whether you're after a natural look or something more dramatic depending on the type of finish you go for. I've recently discovered my new favourite and you can probably tell by the images because, well it's almost gone!

The foundation I'm talking about is the EX1 Cosmetics Invisiwear Liquid Foundation in the shade 5.0. I first saw this foundation whilst watching a makeup tutorial by Chloe Morello. Chloe used the foundation in quite a few tutorials and I fancied giving it a try again. I say again because I did have this foundation a few years ago but the shade I had was too dark for me so I gave it to my mum, who also loves it.

I was scrolling through Instagram one day and saw a makeup post, the lady was wearing this foundation and it reminded me I needed to give it another go in the correct shade. As mentioned I have the shade 5.0 and what I love most about it is that it's has a yellow undertone which is perfect for those that like to use self tanners. It's the perfect shade for me when I use tan and it's been my everyday go-to foundation since I bought it. What's also great is the price, it's just £12.50 from LookFantastic and is currently on offer for just £10!

I must admit I wasn't overly keen on the finish when I first tried this because I was used to wearing L'Oreal Pro Glow foundation, another favourite. It was just a little dryer than what I was used to but now I really love the more matte finish, I do moisturise before I use it and use a very hydrating moisturiser which makes application easy. The formula itself is a medium thickness and it's very easy to blend, I use a buffing brush to apply this foundation and the cover is medium but build able.

Overall I'm really enjoying this foundation and will definitely repurchase, I always get compliments on my skin when I wear it. It's lightweight, doesn't cake on the skin, and it's long-lasting which is perfect for mothers and girls on the go that have limited opportunities to check their makeup and reapply/powder.

Have you tried this foundation before? Would love to hear about your current favourite at the moment.
